Bills are mailed to students approximately 3 weeks
prior to the beginning of any semester whether or not a balance due exists
on their accounts. Billing statements will reflect the student's schedule,
estimated financial aid and detailed transactions as of the billing date.
Bills are mailed to a student's mailing address unless a specific billing
address has been provided by the student. All students become liable
for their tuition and fees upon registration regardless
of any pending or forthcoming financial
aid or sponsored tuition assistance. Students also become liable for
their housing rent and other housing charges upon signing their lease
contracts with University
Housing whether or not they have actually moved into their residences.
Students who register on, or just prior, to the first day of the semester
will not be mailed a bill. A bill may be presented to the student at
the time he/she registers for class. However, tuition and fees are still
due regardless of whether or not a bill is printed for the student. Students
can access their account information for any semester by logging-on to
the Student
Services website. This is available nearly 24 hours a day. A $50.00
late payment fee will be charged to any account not paid in full by the
first
day of the semester. Schedules will then be canceled within 2 to 3 weeks
of the beginning of the semester. For the summer semester sessions a
late payment fee will not be charged but schedules will be canceled within
one week of the beginning of the semester.
Bills will then be mailed throughout the semester on a monthly basis
for student's who have incurred any other charges or adjustments after
the semester begins. Payment is typically due 2-3 weeks after the bill
date or the date specified on the bill. Accounts will be considered past
due the day after the due date specified on the billing statement if
a balance still exists. A hold will be placed on student's records preventing
them from receiving transcripts, registration, or using certain on-campus
services. If the balance due is from housing rent then the University
Housing Office may charge a late payment fee and consider evicting residents
from their suites or houses. |
