Installment Payment
The University of Alabama in Huntsville offers two Installment Payment programs in which students can defer payment of a portion of their tuition and fees to be paid at a later date. Tuition, lab fees, housing rent, meal tickets and flex accounts are eligible for deferment. Certain miscellaneous fees such as late payment fees, late registration fees, health insurance, monthly rent, and past due balances are not eligible for deferment and must be paid in full by the student.

How does it work?
Depending on which plan you participate in one-forth
to one-half of your current semester balance, AFTER financial
aid and third party sponsorships are deducted, plus a
non-refundable Installment Plan fee is
due in full by the first day of the semester along with
a completed Installment Plan contract. The remaining
balance is due four to six weeks later.
Where do I get the form?
Installment Payment forms are available in the Bursar's
Office (UC 214) and Charger Central (UC 118).
What else should I know?
Installment Payment forms are only available for a limited
time each semester. Usually the Bursar's Office will
not accept Installmant Plan requests after the last day
students can add classes to their schedules - typically
one week after the semester begins. If you register for
all of your classes after the semester begins you may
still sign up for Installment Payment
if you make your request within 24-48 hours after registering.
*** Remember, if you fail to pay the first installment in full by the due date your class schedule could be canceled.***
